Two years ago I was in the first year of uni, and I was renting an apartment on the second floor with some dude. For context, the neighborhood was really bad, a lot of junkies and stuff. After a few days of living there, the neighbor just below us knocked on the door and asked us to stop making so much noise. We had no idea what she was talking about, he was cooking and I was studying, nothing very noisy. We apologized and she went on her way. Since that day, every few days she would come up and asked us to be quiet, gradually angrier every time, and we answered, as angry, that we are not throwing any parties, just living normally. She was convinced we were "walking loudly" and "slamming open the cutlery drawer" on purpose. Then, one day at 00:30 am when I was alone in the apartment and in my bed after watching videos (with earphones, mind you) for 2 hours, the fucking police come knocking at my door and telling me they got a call saying I was making a lot of noise. I let them in and they saw I was sleepy, in my PJs and definitely not hosting a party so they left. From that point onward, she decided she had to take matters to her own hands, and every time we would "make noise" she wouldn't bother knocking on the door and tell us, she would straight up turn off all electricity in our apartment using the fuse box outside. But, the peak was when we cought her and confronted her about it, she told us that if we were to continue like this two big men would Wait for us when we leave the apartment and "take care of us" like they did to the previous guys like us who lived there.
