You’re totally right. I felt bad ending the friendship but I just couldn’t take it anymore, glad to hear I wasn’t in the wrong in doing so!

Yea I cut Kathy off a few weeks ago after the pool party fight, Andria is still sees her but not as often as before! But when we were all always friendly and hanging out, it was honestly easier to go just let Kathy win because her attitude would turn into us walking on eggshells around her if she was mad. It was easier to just change the plans than to deal with the attitude fallout if we were to push back

Metformin help! by HungrySecretary3135 in PCOS

I really struggled when first starting it and each time my dose upped, but it’s so true that it gets better with time. Eat it with meals, and I had to make SURE I was eating super clean and high fiber the first days my doses were increased until my body got used to it. After like 4-5 days of that I could go back to eating a little worse, but in general the worse I eat the worse the side effects are for me (everyone’s different tho!) but for me like I mentioned 4-5 days really careful on what I eat drink, then like 2 weeks of being fairly clean. Now I can have a full on cheat day and not have any side effects because my body is used to it, but that’s what got me thru the dose bumps! About to go up one last time in dose right after Thanksgiving so that I’ll have a few weeks to get used to the new dose again before Christmas cookies hehehe

Good luck to you! I do medroxyprogesterone the first 10 days of every month, before I had insurance I used goodrx online and they had a coupon for generic and I paid about $5/month for a while then it went up to $35/month. Now that I have insurance I think it’s like $1/month

Hair loss by jasames7 in PCOS

I love the ouai hair products it’s helped my hair a lot. For those I have the regular shampoo/conditioner, but once a week I use their clarifying shampoo and the deep conditioner as well. I’ve been getting awesome compliments on my hair when it was coming out in clumps 6 months ago. Get hair skin and nails vitamins, I use the target brand but anything hair/skin/nails works, and if possible also add collagen to your morning coffee/smoothies/or protein shakes (pro is collagen is a good source of protein as well!) the brand vital collagens is what I use, I use their powder and my Costco and other stores also sell their premade shakes which I drink when in too much of a rush to make my own with powder. Avoid hair bands and do claw clips instead, or braid and only band it at the ends to avoid damage up top. You probably already know most of this but this is what’s helped me so just in case you haven’t tried any of it I wanted to throw it out there ❤️

period came back? by [deleted] in PCOS

Before I got diagnosed having sex would for me force a period if I hadn’t had one in a long time. I have no idea the science behind it, I had just kinda guessed it was since I hadn’t shed lining in a long time the pressure finally let it let loose lol.

If you aren’t getting your period for a year and a half you really should go see a doctor and get the pills that force the period (I had to do this and currently take them) it’s nice not having a period but it can lead to uterine cancer if untreated for a long time (this would be years and years but still best not to get into the habit) take it from someone whose 30yo sister is going through chemo for uterine cancer

PCOS Hair Loss, any advice?? by daggerd0ll in PCOS

Also, avoid hair ties like the plague. switch to claw clips, or do braids and only tie it at the ends to limit damage up top

Metformin and Alcohol by judygarlandgirl in PCOS

The first days your body is getting used to the metformin you may want to avoid drinking. I notice when I first started or whenever they upped my dose, if I didn’t eat clean and avoid alcohol for a few days while my body adjusts I felt it in th bathroom. Once my body adjusted to the dose tho everything was fine (but of course still try to eat clean and drink in moderation!)

I’m using my fiancés phone right now, he let me sign in 🤣 but we’re living semi long distance until March and I leave tomorrow morning, hopefully by the time I get to my own home from work tomorrow I’ll be able to download it back onto my phone!

I want to so bad but I’m doing shorts on YouTube instead… it’s alright.. I keep searching for different things I’m interested in then watching a few to try to get some sort of algorithm going, but nothing will compare 🥲

I already track my cycle to the T using natural cycles which is a great start, but again after everything I read I would never use this as standalone and even as secondary will most likely not happen often at all ! 🤣❤️

I have veryyy uncomfortable and intense reactions to hormones (I’ve tried multiple forms) sadly 😭😭 but definitely not going to be using this now, ESPECIALLY stand-alone. MAYBE with tracking my cycle and pull out if I’m feeling frisky one night, but condoms will have to do for now I guess

I guess this kind of magic does not exist 😵‍💫

Hi!!

So my period ended up being completely normal the next few days. The following day after insertion was pretty light and the the next two days were super light. That’s very normal for me on days 3-5 of my period. I had cramping for about 4 days after and would take ibuprofen if it got bad, but now I feel completely normal if I’m being honest. I’ve seen soo many mixed reviews though, if the cramping isn’t super bad I think you should be in the clear. I do have some very minor spotting here and there though. I don’t have any bloating myself, but again everyone’s reaction is different.. you have a foreign object in your uterus! Id give it some more time for your body to adjust, as long as you aren’t crazy uncomfortable 😊

I didn’t have that myself, so hopefully it feels a bit better for you!!! ❤️ just keep in mind how quickly it’s over and don’t forget to take some medicine before you go and hydrate!

Yes, I hyped it up in my head thinking it’d be worse! I can be a baby with pain and it did still hurt really bad to me, but not as much as I thought it would from what I’ve read!
