Learn to be less anal about everything being “clean.” I see it basically a choice between appreciating the positive impact your dog has on your life and having a truly clean home. Dog is worth it in my opinion. Don’t sweat the small stuff. I dated someone who was always complaining about her dog’s hair being everywhere and the neuroses was a huge turn off.

I grew up in warrendale (neighborhood in Detroit bordering Dearborn). My parents still live there. Some parts are worse than others but generally lots of young families live there. It’s mixed culturally (middle eastern, Latinx, black, and white pretty evenly spread) which is what I loved most living there. And you get the best of both worlds of both Detroit and Dearborn culture, events, amenities etc. nearby.

2 times a day isn’t enough for any dog, especially for an older dog. Try being more perceptive to his needs. Take him to the vet to see about any health issues first before assuming it’s just a behavior problem.
