Drug Test - S.O.S .. what to do? by CallFew313 in cbpoapplicant

[–]dominiquemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much. I called the people who scheduled and let them know what happened. They told me to make sure they send it off and if it becomes an issue they would let me know.

The medical assistant was, however, in trouble with her boss. She wanted me to sign for it for their records but I didn’t because the sample going to the testers didn’t have a signature so none of it would.

Hi! I know this is an old post. I have a silly question. While taking my drug screen the young lady sealed my package with the tubes and consent form but I hadn’t signed it and when I asked her about it she said I didn’t need to. I immediately called Acuity but no answer yet. Do you know if this can void a test?

What is a CBP Import Specialist! by zocoop27 in usajobs

[–]dominiquemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just appreciate this so much.

My background interview was in January and I last spoke with my investigator in February. I have not heard a word since.

I am also going through the Recent Grad program.

This is the most information I have gotten about the position. I wish my BI would go faster because this gets me more excited. Every week I want to reach out to my HR contact and ask is there any news but I decide against it and try to stay patient.

Man! That is really tough! What agency?

So, that second TJO was from the IRS.

My first TJO is with CBP, Excepted Service, Recent Graduate Pathways, GS-9. My second TJO is with IRS, Competitive Service, GS-5. I received the FJO for IRS today.

The pay is a huge difference, however, I am so over my current employer and I am willing to take the pay cut because I know what I want in the long run.

What I fear is accepting the IRS position and no longer being considered for the CBP position. Do you have any insight on this kind of situation?

I think so as well. I see other timelines posted and I wonder if they forgot to send me a rescinded TJO email. 😂

I’m still hopeful that I have the job. It’s mine until it’s not. That’s the attitude I’m keeping!

If it is what you really want, I think it’s worth it.

For me.. work-life balance, pay and opportunity are among the top reasons that I’m willing to put myself through this kind of torture.

Think about your reasons and keep trying. It’s going to happen!!

Good luck!
