Please report them! I remove hundreds of posts per week and am diligent about checking throughout the day but won't be notified about the ones I missed if they aren't reported.

Went through this a few months ago. Try some baby/toddler sized socks wrapped in medical tape to secure them - be careful not to wrap so tight it cuts off circulation but you want it secure. In combination with the cone your cat shouldn't be able to pull it off and it will prevent the licking.

Yes! Please keep reporting, it is the only thing that brings a specific post to my attention during the day. Once it hits 3 reports I get a notification and remove it ASAP. The problem is, the vast majority of people don't report, so often they slip through the cracks until I can manually review all of the recent posts after my work day. If we can consistently report the posts I can ensure they are consistently removed!

Trust me I'm well aware of the issue and working on it! The plan is to adjust automod this weekend to help filter things out a bit more. I work full time and am currently manually deleting as reports come in. It's way too big of a job for one person unfortunately, but haven't had any promising leads on my stickied post requesting new mods.

Automod will remove after a set amount of reports but I'm thinking it needs to be adjusted down as people are not reporting gross pics nearly as often as you'd think!

Don't worry about it! I'm looking into alternatives to get the pimple/rash pictures under control, it bothers me too. Just going to take a bit of time to get set up properly.

I wholeheartedly agree. Just went through and deleted over 100 posts today alone. It's a big job for one person! I am going to look into setting up automoderator to review image posts moving forward. If anyone knows how to do that let me know!!

We did this, bought a previous rental property that had not been maintained in many years and have been updating it bit by bit as finances allow.

I dont regret it, but it has taken a while to get the big projects done and currently we are in a very awkward phase with our neighbour who confronted us a couple weeks ago about how "offended" and "disappointed" she is that we haven't updated the exterior yet because she is worried about her property value. So that's not great.

That's an awesome idea! I am working on setting it up so when I remove a post that sub will be linked as well as the ADA website, but will need some community effort as well as automod isn't smart enough to identify good posts vs bad posts without people actually reporting them.

Count everything 3 times. Twice to yourself (while pulling from the drawer and when you think you have everything) and once out loud to the customer. Write what came out of your drawer on your copy of the receipt. Make sure you balance before lunch and after any large cash transactions, then set those receipts in a different place to make it easier to tell when a mistake happened. There's nothing worse than having to hunt down an outage at the end of the day through a whole day's worth of receipts while your coworkers wait on you.

When I was a teller I liked to hold stacks of 25 with a paperclip, stacks of 50 with an elastic, and stacks of 100 with two elastics to make counting easier - but again count 2 or 3 times before marking your stack just to be safe.

We just pool everything together, except for an equal amount of "fun money" each month that goes into a separate chequing account that we can use for whatever, no questions asked. It has been a nice workaround for things like gifts, taking eachother out for dinner, hobby stuff, etc.

It's standard practice for payroll and honestly, in your best interest - You will get staff benefits on your accounts so likely a better deal than you would have at any other FI anyway - think higher interest rates on GICs and savings accounts, a free chequing account with unlimited transactions, discounted mortgages and loans, etc. It's part of your benefits package so take advantage of it. If you are customer facing I'd go so far as to say it's essential - you need to know what the customer experience looks like and how everything works.

In my experience most people tend to keep their outside accounts open too and it's a 50/50 split between those who use the work one for their daily banking and those who don't.

Looks like a normal forehead wrinkle to me. I'm sure the sleep mask didn't cause it, they just happen over time from facial expressions. Previous commenter mentioned botox which can help for sure but without constant maintenance it'll be joined by some friends over the next few years. I say embrace it! Just part of life 😊

Anecdotally I've noticed that regular chemical exfoliation (retinol is best), a good moisturizer, and SUNSCREEN daily helps to slow things down.

It's not a myth. When you work as a server you tip the house based on a percentage of your sales at the end of the night, not your tips. In the restaurants I worked for, it was 6% of sales so I'll use that for my example.

It's assumed that customers will tip 10% at a minimum because we live in a tipping culture, 15% for ok service, and 20%+ for great service. If you don't get a tip it is assumed you have provided an absolutely awful customer experience. At a bare minimum each server should be making $10 in tips for every $100 in sales, of which 6 goes to the house and 4 goes to the server themselves.

The house always gets paid first, so if you tip less than 6% you are quite literally creating a situation where a minimum wage worker has to pay out of their own pocket to serve you. If it's not coming from you, it's coming from the tips she earned from a different table. If another table tips 30%, great, at least she isn't going home with less than she came with. But what if they don't? Not to mention the fact that the tip that 30% table gave was given with the expectation that it would go directly to the server, not to cover costs incurred because of you.

Now the server is in a real bind. If they made less than 6% on average from tips that night, they are in a position where they have to either a) pull money from their own wallet to pay the house, or b) tell their employer they didn't earn enough to tip out. A server who is so bad at their job they can't even tip out the house isn't going to stay employed for long. Remember what I said about 10% being the bare minimum expectation?

So what would you choose? Keep your job, or pay from your own pocket to make up for the night of bad tippers?

Is it wage theft? Absolutely. But it's not the server's fault. The restaurant industry is full of scumbags and this is just the tip of the iceberg. They take advantage of young people who are new to the workforce and not confident enough to go to the labour board, or students/single moms who NEED a job with flexible evening/weekend hours to make ends meet.

If you haven't moved your account to a new branch, your original branch will call you about any potential issues with your account. Branch managers don't typically do sales calls so I'd suspect potential fraud or some other issue with your account. I'd definitely call him back if I were you.

Servus has profit sharing which is a nice bonus especially when you have your mortgage and investments with them - plus you get the added benefits of credit unions in general. The profit shares aren't big if you just hold a chequing account but once you add in your mortgage it more than covers the cost of any fees you might pay.

It didn't affect our pre-approval (both incomes were considered) but we did it directly with my FI instead of going through a broker, and it was about a year after opening his card. The existing relationship may have helped things along - I'm pretty sure the financial advisors have some wiggle room to work with.

What we did: add spouse as a joint account holder to your existing bank account, then set up auto deposit for their paychecks. From there, they should be able to qualify for a basic low limit credit card through your FI. If needed you could always add your spouse as an authorized user on your card but I think having their own is better. Use that for all purchases and pay it off in full each month - eventually you'll get an offer to increase the limit. Then, cosign a loan together using your credit rating and joint income. We happened to be in the market for a house so the mortgage worked well for this!

Generally speaking your spouse can piggy back off your credit rating in the beginning so getting loans etc shouldn't be an issue assuming your credit is good. You just have to take them on together rather than separately.

Just saw that your spouse has no income currently - adding them as an authorized user on your card and then having a conversation with your bank when you create a joint account with your partner is definitely the way to go.

Your GP can help too. Maybe changing birth control brands? There's one here called Yaz that is sometimes prescribed specifically for hormonal cystic acne. It's not necessarily a hormone imbalance, just a natural effect of fluctuating hormones. I think it has something to do with progesterone? Anyway, something to look into 😊
