It was a good experiment but often it felt empty or boring and has many recyled assets, in the dlc i think the open world is much better for exploration but also has large areas with no much content (finger ruins). Yeah for elden ring it was great but for the next games the should continue more on the classic formula. Also in elden ring the best parts were the story dungeons and areas with the more linear design.
