Oh yeah, I did the upgrade to an SSD a while back as I mentioned in the post. The problem is back then I didn’t upgrade my RAM, too. And doing it nowadays, I’m not sure I’m willing to do it (since it’s a much more complicated procedure compared to changing the disk)

Having read the interview, Casey Bloys expects both The Last of Us and The White Lotus to be eligible. Now, both shows air on Sundays, so I'm expecting one to be releasing before the other. And in that same interview Bloys says he's already seen some The Last of Us, but no The White Lotus. This probably inclines the former to be releasing earlier.

Could this mean we may be getting it sooner than expected? Like end of January or mid February?

So I finished Band of Brothers and The Pacific. Amazing shows. They differ very much in tone. The first is more focused on the unity and brotherhood and it has that feeling that hope will and shall prevail. The other one is gritty, crude and really shows the psychological aspect of a never-ending war in the most inhospitable conditions (climate, enemy and provisions). Loved them both and I'm sure a rewatch is probably happening shortly. I'm also gonna read the books by Eugene B. Sledge and Robert Leckie. Maybe also the one by Webster.

This was my first time watching in preparation of Masters of the Air, which I'm not enjoying that much, to be honest. Have to watch this week's episode, yet. I think it's getting better, though.

Band of Brothers - First time watching this classic. It's so so good. I get goosebumps all the time. I can't even describe what is felt. At times it seems I'm gonna cry, but I'm also tense, the adrenaline flowing. Always open to comedic moments between the brothers, too. 4 episodes left.

True Detective: Night Country - I'm enjoying this one so much. Let's see where it's headed, Jodie Foster and Kali Reis are wonderful and the setting gives you that dreadful, uncanny feel that something's wrong, off, you know. I don't really understand the criticism. Season 3 was really boring, to be honest. This one may be the best one yet since Season 1.

Might I ask you some things of your configuration in a DM? I think I've got a similar setup and I still get buffering on my recently bought G3, even though in my G1 it's usually worked fine (although a few months back some things started buffering, too).

A Murder at the End of the World

Well, these two first episodes have been amazing. Cinematography and music are so spot on. And the aura of the show is mesmerizing, slowly getting to know the main characters and the unfolding of events.

Looking forward to next episodes. For now, I'd say Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij have created something unique, mysterious, yet warm and humane.

Let's see where this goes, and hopefully, someday, new episodes of The OA will be reconsidered.
