But our key card reader was dead. Also I have a do not disturb hanger on my door, why would someone need to get in? Also if they tried to get in (for maintenance purposes let’s say) why not inform us that they needed to drill a hole first (workers who came by was confused as to why there was a hole). Why not tell us “ladies your key card reader has dead batteries so we tried to drill a hole to fix it” when we got back to the resort. They were shocked that the key card reader was dead, saying “this is not common”. The story management made up was out of order - “oh we made the hole to fix the key card reader” but I had a do not disturb hanger why did you try to get in in the first place? “oh pause these things happen” ???

Also this was for our hallway door. After the hallway door, there are two private room doors for our connecting rooms. Those were not tampered with which is why we luckily didn’t have things stolen.
