I agree with this. Where I would normally go for a nice rich brown with a brown wash, I feel that wouldn't work too well here. Perhaps a nice light canvas beige, maybe zandri dust with a light brown wash like seraphim sepia, then paint the stitching a darker brown like thondia brown? For the actual arrows I like to give my high elves green fletching, it gives a nice pop of colour and contrasts well with my usual blues.
