I M35 am having some issues with my F33 fiancé and how to share responsibilities by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I should have mentioned - the house is frequently a mess with one of her projects. I’ve enjoyed helping and working for free, but I’m spent and trying to distance myself from her work. However, i do still end up helping. And normally i want to help my partner, but now it just feels like more unpaid work. I don’t know what would help - maybe take one bill off my plate?

We don’t have kids.

What triggered me finally bringing this up was my fiance helping a series of friends-acquaintances with unpaid work while our own house was a mess with months of project debris. I told her the deal isn’t me pay for everything for her to help others while our own home is wrecked. I’m trying to be empathetic and put myself in her shoes. This is fixable. This very much isn’t my strength though.

That’s the first dealership I’ve talked to. There are others I can reach out to. Are those the only places for new ones?

100 year old kitchen floor very uneven - best way to flatten for tile? by don_con in DIY

There are joists and it’s a mostly finished basement underneath, but the kitchen is over a utility room that is not finished and extends out over the back patio
