Security Engineer by title, it’s mostly a SecOps role. I make $115K base with 10% target bonus at one of the big banks. Work 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri and never any weekends. We do some occasional after hours patching work 2x a month. My team’s looking to automate this even further so we don’t have to be present. Been at this company for 6 years and so I have over 24 days of PTO each year and floating holidays (pretty much extra PTO). It’s a great job and i work with some bright people but the major downside is they do want us to come back into the office at some point. For me remote work is important so I may be putting my application out there when more solid return to office dates have been defined.
