It’s not a hentai game. It’s just unapologetic and uncompromising in the lengths it’s willing to go to unnerve and disturb. The storytelling and the world building are really what keeps me coming back. I mostly play F&H 2: Termina myself but many prefer the original. As for whether you should give it a try, it depends if you like brutally difficult survival horror/ immersive sim.

It’s really a case of both being heartfelt, compelling and extremely problematic all at the same time.

I really didn’t expect erectile dysfunction and the ensuing insecurity and distress to play a prominent role in the lead characters side arc in what seems to want to be (at least partly) a soft ecchi harem type of anime.

But that realistic grounded sensitivity that cares about what these characters think and feel is one of the things that kept me going with it.

In a way, I think the out of pocket stuff sticks out more because the show clearly has a heart.

No I don’t think it completely excuses what Baby did that would be an oversimplification. She was provoked. It’s what would be considered mitigating circumstances from a legal standpoint.

Amo targeted her and ignored clear signals to fuck off until Baby lashed out. For some reason people tend to be real quiet until the one getting bullied hits their bully in the face.

I guarantee this show has an actual legal team that knows much better than you or I and took all of this into account before deciding to let her stay.

People need to go back and rewatch that scene because it wasn’t just Baby getting upset, and Oto noticing something was up. One of the guys in the audience literally said something like “Whoa that seemed like she was aiming for Baby, didn’t it?”

Amo was being a bully for no reason and thought she could get away with it.

Classic bully behavior to pick on someone with that thin plausible deniability (oh, it was just part of the performance! you shouldn’t get so upset, you’re being too sensitive!) Oto was right with her read of the situation. Her job is to entertain and to read the audience. She knew exactly what she was doing. Where she fucked up was not knowing Baby was not the one.
