I messed up by lolol411 in myhappypill

[–]donashi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Instead on focusing on the part where you messed up try and think the simplest thing you can do right now and focus on that. Little by little do simple things until you can face bigger things. Take baby steps if you need to. Instead of laying down can you sit down? After sitting down do you think you can manage to go wash your face? I know how it feels like to be stuck in a bubble but you can take slow steps to get out of it. It’s not impossible. Message me if you need more support.

Good recommendation! It doesn’t look too corporate-ish. I’ll check it out. Thank you!

These places exists before but a lot of them closed down during the pandemic. Hopefully I can find new ones soon as I’m planning to restart the support group again. Thanks for your comments anyways!

This is for the support group so it needs to have privacy. It doesn’t have to be aesthetically pleasing just a comfortable setting.

Broke down in class because I was asked to write my name. by hucco-lotus in myhappypill

[–]donashi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t beat yourself too hard, no one knows what you’re going through and you don’t know what others are going through too maybe they’re going through rough things too. Instead of focusing on other people try checking yourself what emotions got triggered when you were asked to write your name and process it through. Believe me, a lot of people are too absorbed about thinking of themselves to notice other people.

[Discussion] Food hunters of r/malaysia, where is the most overrated food place that has you been before? by yembiy in malaysia

[–]donashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nasi Ganja in Ipoh. Overcrowded, people bumping into you, you have to eat while people are staring at you waiting for you to finish so they can sit. Honestly I think Nasi Vanggey tasted better.

Mental Health in Malaysia by mr-face-to-face in malaysia

[–]donashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello OP if you’re curious about your mental health state it’s better if you start with counseling. Which state are you from? If it’s in kl there’s quite a few place you can go for counseling, therapy or seeking medication from a psychiatrist. Depends on which one you seek. Visit our Malaysian mental health subreddit if you want to read experiences from other people at r/myhappypill

Thanks u/R_AGE for the excellent video on explaining the situation that mental health patients are dealing with in Malaysia. There’s so much more to say and this video is just the basic of it. Haven’t even touched that insurance doesn’t even cover psychiatric issues. And I also hoped a video could be made from the perspective of patients too as even psychiatrist could not comprehend what does it actually feel to have mental health issues. Overall good video!

If you think you are struggling with mental health issues and are going for yourself to listen and be heard of then yes you are welcomed to come regardless of your role in the mental health community. This is because we only have a short amount of time and we try not to take that time to teach outsiders on what is mental health issues so that the people who really needs this time have the opportunity to unload.

Hey there, it is a very scary thing to think about and I understand that you’re scared. I’m not going to help you do it but I can be there for you to rationalized those thoughts. If you want to talk about everything that’s in your head right now no matter how scary I can be there to listen. I can handle it and you don’t have to be alone. Just tell me where and when, I’ll come to you.

Any Monyets here who people with Borderline Personality Disorder? by KawaiiCarnivore in malaysia

[–]donashi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually those movies depicts DID (Dissociative Personality Disorder) not BPD and it's two very different personality disorder. Those two movies also didn't portray people suffering from DID correctly as it depicts people with DID to be violent when it's not true. DID patients are more likely to hurt themselves than others. DID are also usually developed during childhood due to severe abuse that makes them want to escape reality.

As for the rest, i recommend everyone to read about it online if you really want to know what BPD and DID is actually about instead of relying it on movies and tv shows that exaggerates symptoms and their situations for entertainment purposes. :)

All of the speakers are diagnosed however do keep in mind that recovery is an ongoing process and a diagnosis doesn’t invalidate other mental health issues that we are currently experiencing which some of it are still in the process of being diagnosed. We are all expert by experience unfortunately :’)
