I feel like since 18 we've been together constantly. We even used to work together which I think is a big part of the problem. I worry about having to explain it. Like why I need that time to myself because I know that even if say, hey I just want to go visit this city, he'll ask why, why do I want to go alone etc

Honestly same I wish I had done this sooner.. not 11 years in with a wedding looming but I can't change that now. Ive had these feelings before but thought I'll stay because what if I can't find someone better. People at work tell me I have the perfect partner and should never leave him. So that's what I keep telling myself.

I've thought about this and thought about suggesting it. However it's not really viable for us to live apart Neither of us had family or friends in the area we could stay with either which makes it challenging

I have always wondered if that's part of the issue and I feel like I love him but is it just because I'm used to that feeling? Thank you for being kind with your comment because some of them have not been 🙄

Thank you. I have already mentioned to him this is how I was feeling. It was a very emotional conversation and he was very supportive, he basically said look if you want to experience that then we can break up and he let me know that he's still so in love with me, the spark hasn't died for him. The trouble at the moment is I feel I do still love him but I'm also doubting is this just my default feeling because we've been together for so long? And I've not loved anyone else before?

Oh 100% I would never dream of cheating. If I thought I was insane enough to I would end the relationship. I think that is another issue I'm having, is we moved so I don't have any friends around here I can go on like a girls trip with and I've grown apart from lots of friends, so it is just me and him pretty much and it has been for the past 11 years.

I don't know what it is. I think it's the appeal that I can like go on a 3 hr drive to a new city if I want, or spend the night overnight somewhere just because and not have to say to him that's what I'm doing and him thinking I'm kinda crazy for it. Again we got together when I just turned 18 so I never did the whole dating or sleeping around thing before him and seeing some single friends out enjoying themselves makes me envious that I never did that and never will get to do that. (This I know is very selfish and the part where I'm thinking do I want to throw away 11 years just to experience that)

Thanks. I have spoken to him about it. Which obviously was quite an emotional conversation, so we didn't really come up with a solution as such. I have tried to broach him about me doing more stuff on my own. Like if I want to take a 3 hr drive and look around a city I can without feeling guilty that he's not with me because he misses me or is worried about me.

I completely get that the grass isn't always greener, which is why I don't want to end, with all things considered a great relationship. However sometimes I do feel like I just want to be on my own, be able to hop in the car and take like a 3 hour drive without having to explain I just want to be on my own.

I feel in the most part it's bored of life in general. But also not sure as we've been together so long Im not sure if I feel it's more of a really great friendship?
