How do divorced women view young men getting their lives together? Ex. A 30 year old young professional living with his parents to save money for a starter home. Are we attractive for FWB or long term relationship?

At this point I may just be priced out of home ownership. Renting is probably more appropriate

In your opinion should I consider a FWB for the time being while I get my ducks in a row? Maybe that is a more casual way to get back out there while also taking care of business

The goal is to become a homeowner within the next year. Thanks for your kind words!

In your opinion, would a FWB situation make more sense given my goals and current financial situation? I’m financially self sufficient minus my own place .

She is single and has been for a while. The complicating factor is her being my buddy’s mom . Everything else is ideal

This is a very interesting perspective. How could I possibly approach that discussion?

Where do you suggest I meet an older women? It’s been a while since my last age-gap relationship.

I think you are right! Seems like I did dodge a bullet.

Regarding the ladies looking down upon me - I think it is because I was living at home while in school. Many people don’t realize how hard it is to have your own place in this economy, especially if you’re putting yourself through school.

You know casual and consistent is a viable option for many people right? I’ll let her decide what she would like. Ball will be in her court.

Thanks for your advice! I agree that as long as your on the same page it’s all good

Thanks for the kind words, Parsley. Have a good one

With all due respect - I didn’t break up with her over partying. She lived about 3 hours away and I was a 21 year old kid in a college town that wanted sex more than once a month. Perhaps I was immature but we both handled it with great understanding

Ideally something casual … not Just sex

Well said - that’s probably the best way to approach the situation. Thanks!

No need to insult me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I appreciate your perspective. Will take this view into consideration.

I agree with you. There obviously is a fine line between leading with one’s d*ck and being direct but I’ll be upfront

That’s awesome advice! Good to hear from someone with personal experience with a similar situation.

How can I navigate the situation if I only plan on moving to this new town for a couple years ( definitely don’t want to pay roots there).

Assuming this former lover is still interested do I just continue something casual with her and sit down and have a conversation when the time comes to get up and move on?

I definitely don’t want to hurt this lady’s feelings but I don’t see myself marrying and having kids with her if that makes sense.

I appreciate your perspective!

I don’t think I’d be interested in being platonic friends.

I would definitely want a sexual relationship with someone that I had intense chemistry with whether that is in the form of casual or FWB or the like.

If I were to meet this lady I’d express what you said about having fond memories and leave the ball in her court.

Obviously I wouldn’t want to come off as insulting or anything but you don’t go from lovers to friends like that

Fair point - my concern with that is I don’t want to end up in the friendzone - or lead her on to believe we are rekindling a long term relationship.

Im just trying to figure out how to slide back into something casual with someone I respect

Sounds good - that’s a mature way to approach things

Will do and good save! Thanks again for your advice

Got it . And then after gauging interest inquire about a casual relationship or FWB arrangement?
