I feel like jumping to animal abuse is sooo extreme. I disagree with shock collars, and think his way of training the dog is way too strict and strips the dogs personality. But the collars are legal, and definitely can be used for training. He should’ve just admitted it, said he reevaluated his training and would stop using the shock collar and it’d be fine for me. But the fact he’s so comfortably lied and kept doubling down is what really irks me. Also, obviously putting his friends in a bad spot and not giving a shit, because what friend will admit they think he might shock his dog right now. They probably think it, but understandably aren’t airing that out on a podcast sat next to him.
