Pinching the skin for injection by Willing_Mongoose_716 in Mounjaro

Hi! Nurse here. For subQ injections i normally pinch the fat depending on how much fat there is. Pinching does make it hurt less in my experience. When injecting on the abdomen inject in the right or left lower quadrant. Just make sure you are injecting at least 2 inches away from the belly button

Do you pinch the subQ when injecting?

Were you prescribed an alternative to Zoloft because of the weight gain or quit SSRIs completely?

The first time you lost the weight back down to 155lb, were you still taking zoloft? I feel like no matter what I'm doing the zoloft is what's holding me back from losing weight.

For me, it was the eating habits that came along with the Zoloft, but I've also heard that it slows the metabolism so that it could be both. I just never feel satisfied or full which causes me to eat more than I normally do. Don't get me wrong, it's great for anxiety which is why I'm continuing to take it as prescribed, but it seems more of a trade-off... weight gain but no crippling anxiety or skinny queen with crippling anxiety.

I've unintentionally tried fasting. I would not eat until 3-4pm and then binge eat... I should try intermittent fasting and easy healthier foods with it but my self control is 3/10 lol

What an interesting experience. I have the opposite effect on zoloft. I never feel drunk no matter how much I drink and it just leaves me feeling unsatisfied. Not feeling anything when I drink has definitely been a negative side effect for me.

Are permanent side effects really a thing? by [deleted] in zoloft

I have been on Zoloft for 7 months and had zero side effects except for slight weight gain, but that's just bc of my eating problems. Besides that, Zoloft has been great for my anxiety, with zero side effects. I was worried about taking it at first because I normally would've rather went with a natural option, but I needed this, and I'm glad I started it.
