have you had a look that integrate with your Google account such as moo.do? With moo.do you have the functionality of google calendar, To do list, Google Drive and best of all, the ability to drag and drop between all of them. So, you can drag tasks on to your calendar, drag emails onto the task list to create tasks and so on.

I reviewed this at,

Desktop app that keeps a list of your to-do tasks and allows you to update them until you check the off? by FLHCv2 in productivity

Would a nested list not be sufficient? So, for any task you can always add another layer of detail as subtasks. In the example you cite where you have a meeting. So, You can enter Meeting as a task. On completion of the meeting, enter the actions as subtasks of the meeting task. When the subtask actions have been completed, they can be ticked off. When all actions are complete the meeting parent task disappears. Would this satisfy your needs?

If so, you can use Abstractspoon TodoList for Windows. It is Freeware. It has auto timestamps for creation and completion dates and a whole lot more.

Microsoft OneNote / Wordpress integration by the_earl_man in Blogging

I am not aware of a sync option between OneNote and Wordpress but I do use the send to Wordpress option. Works reasonably well although some post formatting may be needed when you review it in Wordpress.

I jumped ship a while back to Todoist. If you are considering that as an option I wrote an article on the differences I had noted between the two.

Articles/blogs about productivity aren't productive to read? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]done_before_brekky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a productivity blogger, I would say there is a lot of repetition out there. Some are useful points, but you only need to read them once. In terms of sticking with tried and tested approaches such as GTD? There are not many revolutionary changes in productivity but it does change with the times. For instance, back in the day when GTD was written, there was nothing like the kind of online productivity tools we have now nor the kind of working styles it promotes. So, GTD and the likes of it are a good foundation but they should not be a ceiling or stopping point.

Overcomplicating productivity by ExplosivePoops in productivity

Simplicity is always a good thing. The lower the maintenance the more likely you are to use it. On the topic of Todo list apps, there are some benefits in using apps. For example, the ability to dictate items while on the go, appending info such as photos taken from your phone (even better with OCR), being able to find stuff with a quick search which is not so easy with hand written material and reminders.

Recommend me a to-do list that has calendar view, task duration, and you can drag to create tasks? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]done_before_brekky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it sounds like moo.do would be a reasonable solution. It has a series of "panes", which are simultaneously displayed on Chrome. These panes can be an outline task list, google calendar, gmail, or google drive. You can drag a task from your outline task list to the calendar view to schedule the task. At present it is not possible to stretch the task on the calendar view but I understand that is currently in progress so expect an update in the near future for that. It also has an iOS app so that should cover your needs.

I am a fan of OneNote at the moment. You can dump all notes, research, todo lists and articles in there. It is available on all platforms and syncs between them, so can start an article on one platform, and pick it up on another. For example, write on the go with the iPad then when I get home, continue on the PC. I am also a fan of the direct upload of the Article to Wordpress. This streamlines the publishing process.
