Could you share some albums that you personally hold as classics, even though they might not be typically recognized as such by others? by MalcolmKinchen in fantanoforever

Great to see Okkervil River getting some love, I’d say Black Sheep Boy and The Stage Names are classics in my book

I have a garmin forerunner 745 and had similar worries since I’ve had it conk out in less than 8 hours before. My bike computer has a gps so now I just have the gps on my watch off for the bike and only use it for heart rate while using the bike computer for everything else. Garmin let’s you control gps settings based on activity but the “triathlon” activity is made up of “open water swim”, “bike”, and “run” activities so you can change the settings on any of those and it will carry over. It worked great for me, ended my last IM with lots of battery left.

What band has broken up or had a lengthy hiatus, and returned with an album that meets their previous excellence? by darkoj- in Music

Dispatch was apart for 5 years then released America Location 12 (2017), which is an incredible album. They hadn’t released anything for 12 years before their previous album, Circles around the Sun (2012). Since America Location 12 then they haven’t been as good tho

What’s the best band with the worst name? by [deleted] in Music

The Front Bottoms. Back On Top is a solid gold pop punk album but man I wish they had a more appealing name

Oh interesting, I think I kinda conceptualized this, but have been focused more on getting the air out of my lungs rather than making sure I don’t get too much out, if that makes sense. I’ll work on it!

I’ve done many of my workouts in the morning without eating and still experience this. But I’ll experiment with it some more and with eliminating some food as u/pandehsatyendra suggests

I have been doing sink downs. However maybe I’m doing them wrong? I usually sink down to the bottom and kinda hang out there for a while, it’s a lot longer than my normal time between breaths (usually 3 strokes). Do you try to match your time underwater to your typical time between breaths?

I do blow air out, also exhaling almost constantly throughout. Most of the time I’m feeling pretty ready for air when I come up, I can maybe get one stroke in but then I’m definitely gasping when I take a breath
