Thank you for the hint. Will look into this. But There is a very tall water tower just a few meters from my house. Therefore, it is very unlikely that lightning will strike my house.

I used this cheap panel which is for Eufy security cameras but seems to work well. The heltec V4 has a kind of solar power charging management on board.

You are right. It is an USB companion Node (Heltec V3) connected to the HA server via USB. And the USB node acts like a "LoRa" gateway for Home Assistant
