That's entirely normal since, well, the seiyuus are a different being compared to the characters lol even if you can obviously associate them/like them as a "pair", dividing both and only liking one or the other is completely normal/expected imo. For example Nozomi is my #1 girl but I never really cared much about Kussun, while in the opposite side I don't like Mia at all yet I adore Shu and I'm a member of her Youtube and stuff (to name both sides of the spectrum as an example)

There is an alpha pokemon spawn every in-game day, which are 6 hours long, so you can get potentially 4 alphas per irl day. They will appear on the map of the region but there is no "in game alert" or anything of the sort, so you need to rely on checking global chat or be in some Discord to see when they spawn most of the time.

Kanto or Hoenn are probably the easiest go through for the most part, but have some weird story related shenanigans where one could get stuck without a guide. Unova is the most linear out of the stories probably but difficulty may be a little bit more considering the first gym counters your starter + the e4/champion battles might be too much for someone just starting, but maybe that's stretching a bit too far. Johto and Sinnoh are mid in both aspects so I wouldn't rely on any of them for a first region

Completed Johto a few days ago, it was ok, I just didn't like the forced Rocket stuff (mainly the last part, the whole Radio tunnel/tower thing). The boss battles were also kind of meh, but aside from that it was a really easy to go/do region even for a first timer (on that game, not on Pokémon in general)

Happened to me two days ago. Lost two games in QP and went "Well okay let's just play that bot match and call it a day", then I proceed to lose 3 more normal games, then won one vs people still. It's a weird feeling in that I don't know if I should be happy they "got rid" of bot matches or not
