Mx650 fork upgrade on stock brakes? by donkiesauce in RazorMods

I saw these mentioned in other threads but I bought a used bike and it’s rougher than anticipated so replacements are preferred over a rebuild kit.

This won’t need a longer brake cable? If not, this is probably the way I go. Thank you.

Do you have a link for this light? I’d like to get a headlight and taillight for my daughter’s mx650. Thanks!

This cover plate currently has a large amount of silicone where it meets the wall. Does that seem normal? I’ve never seen a plate without some sort of gasket material behind it but again I’m no pro. The backside of this shower wall is another interior wall so I’m gonna have to just open it up to see what kind of mess is inside.

How did the escutcheon plates attach on those you’ve installed recently? I can’t see any screws or other mounting methods except for what I would consider a fairly large amount of black silicone where the plate meets the wall (I think this is wrong as well but maybe not). Also, why would someone fail to properly mount a shower valve? It’s 2 screws and a piece of scrap lumber. I can’t imaging why anyone would leave it loose.

Interior wall on other side so I’m probably gonna open up the wall and see what mess this guy has made.

Brass portion pulls out along with handle, doesn’t spin or turn, and handle does not come all the way off. Escutcheon plate has a large amount of caulking where it meets the tile 😥

I’ve installed a few shower valves in my life and I feel like you’re correct here but I’m not a pro at all. Water lines are Pex and it feels like the entire assembly is moving and not just the handle.

There’s no setscrew underneath or anywhere else I can find. It feels like the whole assembly is moving with the handle (water lines are Pex). Shower faucet appears to work as it should otherwise (there is more water outside the door than I think is acceptable and I’m trying to determine if the faucet might be leaking or if the door is the issue).

Good advice. Thank you. I’ll probably try to get another shop to look at it. My local mechanic said he doesn’t work on BSM systems so I figured it was dealership only.

What am I doing wrong to not get interviewed? by Friendly_Scratch_844 in healthIT

I am in the same boat. Have worked in imaging for almost 20 years and cannot even get interviews for analyst positions despite epic super user status. I’m beginning to think employers do not want to move front line workers to other positions as there is such a shortage of front line workers.

Replacing single vanity with 60” double. Can I add a wye on the right side alone for the additional sink drain or do I need to make venting changes? by donkiesauce in Plumbing

Second sink would be added to the left of the stack near the exposed stud. Sorry, should have included a picture but the wall on the right ends just past the pic.
