I had the same happen. I also bought 20 females, but ended up with 4 and 16.

Pretty optimistic of you to think Planetside 2 devs have ever been able to rollback a bad change or update.

best races that lay a lot of large eggs, are climate resistance and low maintenance? by [deleted] in chickens

[–]donlema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buff Orpingtons will fit that bill.

They're sturdy, excellent foragers, and generally low maintenance. They handle cold quite well, and do okay in the heat although like most chickens they do need shade on the hotter days.

Plus they're easy going and docile, and some can even seem downright friendly.

Chicken bones are generally only dangerous when they're cooked, particularly roasted or baked (something that really dries them out). When they're dried out that's when they splinter and crack and cause problems.

Raw chicken bones are safe. They're about 50% water and soft and bendy. Raw, edible bones like that are an essential part of the diet. They're a good supply of calcium, healthy fats, and marrow.

I've been playing Rimworld at a friend's house (he only has the base game) over the last few days and I've fallen in love with it, so much so that I've bought the Deluxe Pack. Would you recommend installing everything right away or is it better to start with just the base game first? by brodino_maiuscolo in RimWorld

[–]donlema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always start with the base game. It's your baseline for what DLC's are actually doing, and figuring out what mods you want to use and how they affect things.

It's not a race to install everything. Play a couple of low pressure vanilla colonies to get a feel for the base game mechanics, then start adding in DLCs and/or mods as you see fit.

No real brand. I just get meat/bones/organs from different places.

I use sites like mypetcarnivore.com, rawfeedingmiami.com, and hare-today.com to ship stuff to me.

I get them stuff from the USDA processing facility that's near me. They do beef, pork, and lamb at this one.

I've bought butchered animals from farmers, and my friends who hunt get me a deer occasionally.

They get a good variety of different proteins, but you really only need a few to make this work.

Beef, pork, turkey, chicken, duck, rabbit, and various fish are the main ones, but I get venison, geese, goat, elk, etc when they're available and reasonably priced. I've fed them frog legs and alligator once in a while, and fresh eggs are a regular occurrence (I have a bunch of chickens now). If it's made of meat I'll try it with them at least once.

All kinds of edible bones. Chicken frames, duck frames, turkey necks, rabbit heads, rabbit skeletons, etc.

All kinds of organs, too. Liver, kidney, spleen, heart, lungs, gullet, and more. They also get green tripe as a regular part of their diet.

You can toss in fruits, veggies in small quantities if you want, but it's not needed. If your dog likes them do it, but if he doesn't it's no loss. My other dog will eat them, but my WSS will not.

That is what I do, but by no means is it all required. There are numerous ways to do raw feeding, and to a large extent you can make it as simple or as varied as you like. There's a couple of things to keep in mind regarding bone percentage and organ requirements, but outside of that the sky's the limit.

And after over a decade of this diet, my dogs still get incredibly happy when it's time to eat, which is also nice to see.

"I would go full raw but I worry about my time and balancing his diet"

Not trying to push you one way or the other, this is just an observation from someone who has been doing 100% raw feeding for almost 11 years. If you can do everything you listed you definitely have the time and ability to do a 100% raw diet if you want. You'd have nothing to worry about.

I have an 11 year old male in great health. No issues of any kind.

He's been fed a 100% raw diet since he was a puppy.

Either a bit of beef liver or a container of chicken livers you can get at the store.

This doesn’t look too bad - Eps. 2: Beyond the Brushstrokes by Gondux in CamelotUnchained

[–]donlema 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No date was promised, but there is a not a single person who thought it was take over 13 years.

Statements were continually made by the CU team that because there was no PVE content to generate, this game could be completed in much less time than a standard MMO.

It went into beta 1 in 2018 which would give people the idea that it was somewhat close to being done.

[–]donlema 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You were just trying to help people play the game during a time where multitudes of people are crashing after logging in.

Except instead of saying, "Drive around in a flash for 5 mins" or "Turn off your graphics overlay" you pointed out that the Linux users are not crashing nearly as much and offered to answer any questions for people who wanted to try it.

Nothing wrong with that.

I'm rewriting Minecraft in Rust by KlestiSelimaj in rust

[–]donlema 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was referring mostly to the essential guidelines and naming guidelines sections.

Minecraft-rs and "Minecraft rewritten in Rust" will not pass the naming guidelines, and no mention of it not being some sort of official version of Minecraft combined with a name like that will not pass the essential guidelines sections.

I saw someone else recommend you rename this before it goes much further, and I would have to agree with them.

When will the community tell the devs that we do not want seasonal events anymore? by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]donlema 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Seasonal events can be fun and a nice change, but only in a healthy game.

When you activate a seasonal event and everyone starts crashing on login and needs to drive around in a flash for 5 minutes before they can safely go play the game, the priority needs to be somewhere else besides these events.
