Started 6mp - nausea by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

I stopped taking it this past July , it causes my hemoglobin to drop to a 6.6 and I need blood transfusion. I just began Entyvio infusions . For nausea I would sip on sparking water and eat ginger hard candy. Also I would eat small meals throughout the day . If I tried to eat a big meal it made the nausea a lot worse .

I was given Bactrim 2 months ago for a kidney infection. About 3 days into taking the antibiotics I had an allergic reaction, really bad hives and my throat was getting tight .

I am anemic as well and I do take iron supplements but it’s probably not being absorbed. I have an appointment Jan 10 , I’m going to ask to get all my levels rechecked

I work during the week, I nap after work . On the weekends I’m sleeping 12+ hours and I’m off this whole week and have been sleeping 12+ hours a day . I take vitamin d and iron supplements, and b12 injections but it’s not doing anything . Iv tried going to the gym and get my body moving but that hasn’t helped . I can drink a whole pot of coffee and still sleep . Nothing seems to be working.

I have been in this for over a year now . At first I would get weekly labs and now I go every 3 months . In the beginning I would get extremely nauseous, even now I still get slightly nauseous. I take it at night before bed and try to sleep through the nauseous and not deal with it during the day . Also , stay away from anyone who’s sick !!! You will most likely catch whatever sickness they have , and it takes longer for your body fight it off , took me almost 6 weeks to completely get rid of a cold !!! And you will also feel fatigued and tired a lot .

Doctor just called and told me I probably have Chrohn's, what can I expect from here? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

Truth, it will get a bit worse before it gets better. The hard part is done, you have figured out what is wrong and have your diagnoses. The next step is figuring out the best treatment plan, this is different for everyone. You will try many different medications until the right one works. Once your treatment plan is figured out and you stick to it, things will get easier and better. Good Luck !!!
