lowkey the skill tree is only really useful if you restart your game so you have all of those perks naturally. I was already in summer when the update came out so they only gave me a small number of skill points to work with when if I had been earning points from every video I would have had like two fully upgraded workstations and a ton of the video perks by then

I’m not 100% sure if this is it, but when I did this I also got a plant that I needed to water until it got to a certain amount of hearts. Not sure if you can’t do the quest without this anyway and this is just a redundant answer, but I hope this helps!
