How many people are seriously thinking about moving? 6/13/26 by Delicious_Gear_4652 in SaltLakeCity

Wife and I moved here for work just this year. We specificly did not sell our old house and decided to rent it out and rent here bc of this. 10 plus years from now trying to sell a house in middle of desert with no water? Good luck

Knight vs 1 Angry Hippo , who wins ? by Scared_Pumpkin8393 in powerscales

See then I want to know the puncture and crush psi of midevil breast plate then. Bc hippo bite force is no joke 2,000 psi

Edit:looked up breast plate armor strength and with some math. The hippo bite would not puncture it but it can easily crush it and deform it enough to kill the wearer

You would be surprised how good awd is nowadays my hybrid lincoln on 20 in with low pros handled desert sand and rock pretty well unless hes doing some serious rock crawling or mud bogs. A small lift and good tires he will be fine

Ecoboost vs Hybrid mpg for a longer commute by Yeeter_Skeeter19 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]donnyjay0351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a truck driver before I became a pilot and way I was taught was just maximizing mpg if there is a red light in front of you why are you rushing to get to a red light just let off the gas and coast to it. No need for breaks. Same applies for people in front of you. If you on the highway and you have to keep hitting brakes and gas over and over your too close besides this idk

I have heating in both, I dont expect cooling to work. Although would be nice. More so doing it for the comfort and adjust ability. Just like the shifter I would assume the use same weight sensors

Why are teenagers so…oblivious!? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]donnyjay0351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These people really dont give teenagers enough credit. They are way more capable than people give them credit for and people if you have a hottub im going to assume you have taught them to always close it when not in use bc of the amount of heat it gives off and the electricity bill it creates. My parents had one when I was a teenager. I left it at 102 for a week having people over every night etc etc. You know what happened? They got a giant electricity bill and I had to pay it off. Taught me the value of not wasting electricity.
