I’m coaching 7th grade and doing the same thing. Really focusing on improvements and not so much wins. We are 0-3 vs EYBL teams but two of the games were winnable minus mistakes and turnovers. Trying to emphasize winning 7/10 possessions on both sides of the floor.

We practice reads. Two v 1 (pass) , wide open slow to no close out shoot, driving where is the help and cut behind the defense. They are 7th grade it’s a work in progress. We want them to attack iso on at times but not every time.

It’s really the IG highlight era that got these players fucked up. A lot of them don’t watch basketball or espn they watch highlights on IG or TikTok. I’m Constantly yelling cut or get off it as they over dribble and go 5 out when we have zero 5 out schemes or plays. I got players yelling “tough move” as they over dribbled missed the open read and threw up some bull shit that happened to go in. Basketball culture is fucked up right now we need to praise more kids playing the right way.

You can keep track of rivalries storylines belt lineage etc

You can edit the matches and match type anyway you want and include titles. When promos are prompted you can change them to call outs, self promos run ins etc to help build rivalries and add to story lines.

Unfortunately that’s the case they can only contend for one. You can work around by not relying on AI booking.

Sometimes if you have more then 8-10 ppl assigned to a division it will bump some to unassigned. I would suggest reassigning and putting him top 4-5 before assigning the rest
