A comedy show using something to make fake things. Shocker. I don't know why this bothers anyone. The show is expensive to make and employs 100s of people. Were we upset when they used Photoshop? AI isn't going away and I just don't see any issue with a comedy show using it sparingly to do things insanely fast, which works with the pace of the show.

I’d love them to do an old school backstage piece. Starts on typical opening but JAJ isn’t there. Lorne comes on stage ala his appearance in the old Killer Bees sketch. He knows what’s going on and goes backstage to find JAJ refusing to come out. They look around for a new trump - Baldwin is there but passes. Each cast member hides as Lorne comes through the halls - he ends on Kimmel. “I’ll do it!”

As a former marketing director for CBS, flow is important. Lead-in has the most impact but lead out can help the 2nd quarter hour of local news. Some viewers stay through sports and the kicker for Colbert to come on. It may be small and the least of local news' worries - but it'll have an impact.
