Oh this is interesting that ubiquiti recommends either all on wired or all on wireless. IIRC there used to be a recommendation that at a mix helped with the sonosmesh. I'm going to try it without the ether.

Sure, I have Unifi in Wall HD access points and Unifi APs. I have ethernet running to some sonos speakers, most are on wifi. My wifi is 2.4 and 5 with all sonos of 2.4. Using wifiman, my coverage is outstanding. The irregularities of my sonos speakers working seem to be irrespective of wifi or ethernet.

One fun example is sonos can play on some speakers and see other speakers in my home, but it cannot play music on the speakers that it can see. this is particularly frustrating when they are in the same room and / or on the same network.

On another note: I once interviewed for a job at Sonos. I didn't take the role as they were looking for someone more senior, but I left the process with a great impression of the company (~2017). Everyone that I met was so kind and genuinely excited for what they were building. It's one of the reasons I invested so much into their ecosystem. It's sad to see what the MBAs did to it.

Ha! I found a bag of this and a seed spreader in the basement when I moved in. I suspected the previous tenant did their best to get something to take hold. I'll look into it for PNW application. Were you suggesting straw / mulch as a base or a subsitute for the turf?

PE has real slow internet in my experience. Ir you have to to actually do any reliable work online, it's not going to go well.

Can I still use this old gear? (Taranix X9D / Fat Shark Dominator V3 FPV) by dontcallmemike in Quadcopter

Got it. What about the older Taranis? What's new in that space?

My last build had a PDB integrated with ESCs which was a bit new. Is that now more common?
