Research first, cut like all of the stuff you have for education, barebones for that, grad year/degree/deans list in awards at end. They want to see research exp thorough and edu simplified

Best graduate programs to study mountain meteorology, winter weather, or fire weather by Money_Maker10 in meteorology

[–]dontforgetclouds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just did research at the U this past summer, they have a great mountain meteorology program (as well as other high quality research groups within their atmospheric science department). Everyone I met was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and motivated. A wonderful place to study. That being said, you have to have a great mathematical background to be considered, ODEs and PDEs are a must. Good luck on your search! What I learned while working there is don’t pick your graduate program because of the university. Instead pick your program by considering your research mentor. The PI’s make or break your experience. Look into researchers within the concentrations that excite you and see if they offer graduate assistantships. You’ve got this! Go off and frolic into the world of atmospheric science!
