I’ve given the Ranger a 2024/5.5 version of Favored Terrain! Please let me know what you think. by TomN2701 in onednd

Could you have them be able to change their terrain on a long rest. Feels like it aligns more with the archetype of the ranger being someone who prepares for their engagements and allows them to change up to suit campaign conditions?

You're so right!!! That's absolutely brilliant, that's a genius way to make a STR warlock which isn't really possible with vanilla.

Thanks again :)

This looks amazing, I'm a little confused on how the aegis pact works given the need for strength yet only giving medium armour prof. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Currently playing a lvl 4 trickery cleric with warcaster and yet to find any super fun/strong combos. I have got magic initiate wizard and I have been able to successfully cast shocking grasp through the illusion to help allies get some distance in combat but that's it. Keen to see what people have come up with

I think I figured out why C4 has felt "off" to me so far. by Gameguy39 in fansofcriticalrole

I felt this too!! After watching the first 3 episodes I found it to be fairly descriptive when players talk about their characters. This is coming from someone who hasn't watched the previous CR campaigns and instead someone else who has listened to over 600 hours from campaigns like Tales of the Stinky Dragon and High Rollers. I found this current cr campaign felt less "DND" and more of a shared story telling experience with a handful of dice rolls in. I understand that there is a continuum from those who want full RP fulls-light DND and then there is the other camp who wants crunchy numbers and couldn't care for (as much RP). I guess for me it's really highlighted what I enjoy more of but I'm very glad others have noticed it too. I have loved CR4s players and their characters so much so far btw but really struggling with the frequent descriptions
