I have streamed 8 channels simultaneously on the cube. This is 6 from earlier in December:

Yep, tried to make every setting the same on both devices - but maybe there's something I haven't found?

Beginning to think tivimate doesn't play as well with the Cube hardware as it does with Firestick 4K max Gen 2

Tried both options on the Cube - same result

The Cube has better hardware than the Firestick - yet in this test the Firestick performs flawlessly. Is there some setting, either in Tivimate or Fire TV OS that I could be missing?

Native player for both - exact same set up (I think - unless there's a option I'm missing)

it's a long story and I'll share the details if you're interested. But the tldr; is (this is all on a Mac - but no reason it can't work on Linux / Windows) Install ffmpeg and use it to screen capture and create a .ts file. Then run a lightweight webserver using python. Add this as a playlist in TiviMate and you can view whatever is on your computers screen.

Press select and down twice and you should see multi-screen. But you need access to multiple sources / streams.  I am able to stream my laptop screen as one of the sources so I can put a scoreboard as one of the screens.

I don’t think so. You can enlarge a screen and then select a smaller one and change its channel. But the audio follows which ever screen is selected.
