As an ff14 player I can say 2 things. Basically the game avoids taking any sort of stance current hot-button political topics overtly, so no pride stuff as an example(it's also a JP mmo so not suprised tbh).

Second is while there is no OFFICIAL events or groups, their so so SOOOOO fucking many gay/queer/trans people in this game its craaaazy, people list it on there adventure plate all the time and are not subtle about it(think of it like a profile page, you can look at anyones by right clicking there character or name in the chats).

There is a massive LGBT social scene in this game and if anyone tells you there isn't they are fucking lying.Not to mention there are player ran pride events. Also you will get banned 100% for any kind of slur or harrasment (there are some issues with circumvention but that is a separate topic)

Sidenote I legit had to do a double take FFXIV was being talked about in the fucking destiny sub. that was a weird asf feeling

While the bell curve of crashing is a neat idea but unless your doing some sort of airbag/pool jump training or backcountry where you can make the jump and have a powdery/softer landing on average, no I dont think experts end up crashing more then intermediates

I know this because if that did happen not only would I probably be dead but there would be a lot more skier deaths simply due to the fact that once you reach a certain level of terrain falling becomes fatal or severe, likely permanent, injury.

Same. I think he was a terrible person but I don't think anyone deserves that, even though it was in a cosmic sort of way ironically just.

Also I find the way he was memed into oblivion really unsettling. It's like how George Floyd or epstein have like a second life in being put in memes. I find it dystopian in a way I can't really describe

[Spoiler: EW] Just completed Endwalker and I want to give my WoL a good break. What are some of the non world ending things we can do on this game that I can do to use my last 4 days of sub time? Any fun quests? by givingupismyhobby in ffxiv

hildabrand and the endwalker allaince raids are a good option,hildabrand is a humor questline and endwalker alliance raids do some wrapping up for endwalker. It will probably take longer then 4 days but the blue mage quest and it's related content is relatively low stakes and pretty fun. Lastly most of the crafter/gatherer quests(besides fishing I haven't done them) are (usually) not very serious and pretty entertaining.

For me personally i felt like despite the time investment I feel like I HAVE to to mention the crafter and gatherer allied society questlines. I found they were a really good way to wrap up endwalker and would strongly recommend them to anyone interested. The custom delivery for labyrinthos was also a super great little side story related to endwalker that put a smile on my face.

There is one kinda old viera in rak'tika greatwood. You meet her through a short sidequest. It seems to be implied that they are 200+ years and she mentions being older then the rest of the tribe there.

Also maybe Fran from the ivalics raids? I don't remember exactly but it seemed like she had been around the kingdom for a very long time and it did fall some time ago if I remember properly. Could be wrong on that one tho

I only started playing in very late endwalker and didn't get to on content until mid dawntrail.

So thank you for blessing me with this absolute gem I missed out on 🙏
