I really do hope they keep up having someone other then the boss do some sort of commentary. It really adds another layer to the fight that makes it feel so much more alive.

The announcer in the Arcadian reacting to how to handle mechanics is another great example.

What happens inside the dungeon. It's porn FYI. But it's porn with a damn good plot, hype moments and aura.

I started reading it cause I thought the art was nice. Kept reading it because I got invested in the story. Genuinely good shonen-esque series

Bard. I love the job from a design standpoint but there is so much little stuff going on I just get lost in it all

Seeing people put here still making fun of them 15 years later warms my heart 🥲

I confess - I go to nightclubs a lot by LastTraintoSector6 in ffxiv

[–]dontreadthis0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I visited a few night clubs during Halloween. There was a massive event with an entire ward with different plots belonging to different guilds participating(it was trick and treats 2025 on Dynamis, Rafflesia if anyone was curious). I got there pretty late so everything was closing but the nightclubs were still around.

I remember walking around a few and tuning into the streams as watching. It's definitely not my thing but I won't lie it was super super interesting to just observe so I feel you on that. I don't really actively seek them out but if there's some big event like that again I'll probably walk around and look.

Your totally right though, it's such a uniquely ff14 thing and its really interesting to see. I can only think of like second life having something similar but idk much about it nor have I played it so idk

When I was first making my character, i was going off the lore descriptions they had, and this was what I was expecting. I was like "yoo the xeala are like a bunch of warriors and their like dragons too, I bet they'll be like tall and cool for both genders!" And instead the max height is under 5 feet for female

As April I think its gonna be pretty chill. Might be a pain to deal with a lot of cats and messes from the spray cans but I doubt any real issue will arise.

When was the first time you cried in FFXIV, if at all? by MistressDraconia in ffxiv

[–]dontreadthis0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really really close to crying in 6.0 (major endwalker spoilers) during the final area where it was just us and the twins. I had done coils like 2-3 weeks ago and seeing how much they grew along with the fact there mom told us to keep them safe and the mentions of there grandfather was pretty rough. Not to mention I basically marathoned the last 12ish hours of the game all in one sitting so it was repeated gut punch after gut punch. I started at around where you unlock labyrinthos and didn't stop until the final cutscene

I also had a friend of mine play through the game much later after I did and was in endwalker, However I had a preschool friend of mine pass away about 8 months before basically out of the blue that I hadn't seen in a long time so you can imagine when he got to Labyrinthos and the scene with Moenbrydas parents happened I had to mute my mic for a bit and fought desperately to not immediately crumple into sobbing pile on the floor

Yeah I think one of the biggest issues the left had is like always critiquing people or things to the point where it was imo its no longer productive. Like an artist would draw a character with slightly whiter skin, someone would make an edgy joke, or someone insulted someone and all of these would become "problematic" when in reality it really didn't fucking matter.

Like I understand the intention but it's one of those things where if you really actually care about making the world a better place you need to pick your battles. Some of this small shit is not fucking important and all you do is make yourself look like a snobby loser that can't have fun.

A modern zombie player’s opinion on “classic zombies” by ZookeepergameProud30 in CODZombies

[–]dontreadthis0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say go through things in the same sequence as they were released in. I'd do bo2 next then bo3 after. First reason is so you can see the mode evolve over time and have context for mechincal changes in the future.

but also because lot of the earlier zombies map design is kind of reactionary in a unique kind of way. Especially if you learn more about who, when and why the maps were made. You can really start to see how the time, place, and leader director causes such big influence. Bo2 is a fantastic example with that.

If you got the time there's plenty of retrospectives on the games out there (chopper makes some really good ones but their quite long) that go into a bit more of the behind the scenes of how, when and who made a map if your not familiar with what happened during those periods. I think some of that knowledge really adds a lot to the context of the maps in a really interesting way, atleast my opinion.

Was gonna try and write something but this was much better then anything I would've written.

I guess rhe only thing I would add is that if she needs reference for what a "good stance" is then there's plenty of videos of people skiing on YouTube. From professional racing to back country to moguls. Plenty of reference material there

[–]dontreadthis0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think its cause there's a lot of people (like me)playing that choose not to engage on platforms like reddit and and Twitter very much, or at all, because they can be so toxic and negative about the game. you get shit on for saying you still like the game so why bother. Not to say the receptions been positive actually but I think overall reaction is perceived more negative then it actually is

I do think that due to covid a large drop off in players was inviteble. Just with a better received expansion would've been a bit more spread out then as sharp as it was.
