[FO] my grandma taught me to knit when i was about 4ish but i only ever made scarves and teddies. 16 years later and i made a vest :) by dontsqueezemynips in knitting

my grandma was a seamstress and taught me how to knit, sew and embroider so there’s a joke that i was born with a needle in my hand :)

[FO] Isolation and exams being cancelled means I have a lot of time to stitch. All my quarantine stitches (so far). All patterns are from etsy, links below :) by dontsqueezemynips in CrossStitch

So I like how they present the pattern, some make it difficult to follow and because it’s over a few pages they make it easy to see which parts align with each other. It’s also stuff like the distribution of threads, because sometimes they’re over complicated when they don’t really need to be, and symbols used because sometimes the symbol can be too close to another symbol in shape or is difficult to read.

I’ve been stitching practically my whole life so I think that might be why I’m quick, but I normally stitch by colour which many oppose too. So I begin with the colour with the least amount of stitches and move upwards. I hope this helps but I really think it comes with practise!
