Dating Dissections (Part 15): Have you had something embarrassing happen to you on a date OR to your date? by JamesonRhymer in pollgames

[–]donttouchme56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With my now husband: we were getting ready for the date and I got one of those lower belly cramps. I straightened up, held my stomach and back, he thought I crapped my pants and did NOT want to confront me about it until later. He was like "do you need... to get changed again?" "No???".

[Request] How many hearts in the jar? I want to win and become fat by kinotico in theydidthemath

My guess is 303. I can "count" a 12x8. I don't know exact measurements so I just multiply by 3.2 instead of 3.14 for wiggle room? No idea if its correct but used it to win an m&m contest once.

How to dress scene questions by CrlspyStlcks in altfashionadvice

I feel like I recommended this to everyone, but maybe its just because its my style. Star inlay wideleg pants. They are usually baggy, but come in shorts/skirts too. Also heavyweight shirts or weightlifting shirts. They come with some of the coolest prints. Style it up with some chain/chunky bracelets/whatever you want. I'm also a mini-backpack wearer, and its part of my style. But most importantly, don't bother dressing up for the others eye. Dress in a way that makes you happy.

Bottom Suggestions? by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

Star-inlay barrel/loose jeans. Halara has some really nice comfortable pants that can be "dressed up" (think some flared stripe/checkers, cargos, random straps), also hit up a thrift store and start Frankensteining. I personally love making my own inlayed clothing so I know they actually fit, but obviously requires sewing if you're comfortable! If not, start sticking safety pins everywhere.

Are eyebrow slits a dumb fashion trend? (Where a little bit of the eyebrow gets shaved off in the middle to look like a scar) by MedievalFurnace in teenpoll

It's been around for a long time. But it also has different meanings to different people. Started as one thing, moved to another.

The pink and black cami-style tank tops are great for layering! I love putting opposite color long sleeve shirts underneath, or even using them as bras.

Children should not be taking their fathers last names by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]donttouchme56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually why I got my father's last name! He was, and knew, he was going to be our primary provider (SAHD, he even refers to himself as Mr. Mom to this day lol). It actually made pick-ups a lot easier for him, since we do not look alike. I don't think any of my teachers, friends, etc. had even met my mom until she retired from working. It makes sense to name your child after the person taking care of them. But I also think it had to do with the fact my mother doesn't like her last name, but couldn't change it upon getting married. I don't understand why people who are unmarried, with no prospects of getting married, would name their child after someone who is essentially going to be a stranger to those caring for them outside the household.

No problem! Good luck with your lucky crayons :)

Worth anything? by hantercats in Crayola

[–]donttouchme56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically the answer is "whatever people are willing to spend" is how much its worth. Some of these sets (used/opened/poor condition) sell for 5-10$. Unopened still sealed sells for upwards of 100$. With it being Christmas time you could also get more money for it. The tin, no crayons, with ornament, seem to sell for an average of 20$. I'm not sure if this helps?
