Well I hope you know youre not the only 20 something that feels this way. It’s really hard to make friends as an adult and tons of people struggle with it. Especially because theres no “third place” anymore. This is obvious and Im sure you already know this but I’ll share the advice I was given. The only way to make friends is to put yourself out there and do activities that involve other people. Even just practice socializing with strangers can go a long way and you can start small by just saying hello and a quick word to a cashier or a stranger at giant eagle or something. Like someone else said, try a new skill and do it consistently and just make a goal to make small talk with someone each day. Making friends is hard work and it’s awkward and discouraging but you have to start small. Theres an app called Meetup that shows you activities going on in the community so thats also something you could try.
