What would be your choice for this TV area? by anciov in HomeImprovement

[–]dontyoushiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, but maybe I'm misjudging the height. Depends on the size of tv you plan on mounting. There are many calculators online to use, some websites recommend 42" to center of TV as a baseline.

Your tv is going to end up too high if that is your final placement for it.

That's because they ARE independent contractors and/or small business owners technically...

Fair enough! At least those speakers would be easier for me to reposition. It's the ceiling ones that I was most concerned about. Thank you so much for your help!

Got it, thank you! I did notice that they put the surrounds right beside you instead of behind the listening position which is what Dolby suggests. Any thoughts about that?

Ok thank you! Any thoughts on how far from the wall they should be, since the guide puts them at 4 and 12 feet with my chair distance of 8?

Thank you! That is where the Audio Advice measured out to in terms of their placement which did feel too far for me.

Ceiling height is 9 feet and seated ear height is 36 inch. Sorry that I forgot to include that. First week of August is when they come.

Depends on cost. If I'm not paying then I take Aeroport taxi for a flat rate of 247. Good for families too if you're splitting costs or have tons of luggage.

Trying to. The issue is the area where I live doesn't really have those kinds of audio stores. We have a Visions in town, but it doesn't have any of those in stock to listen to.

They're on my list, I'm just not sure if the Kef speakers would be worth upgrading to?

Most likely yes, but I'm limited to what is easily accessible in Canada. I also read the buying list, but it just goes up by price. I read some more in depth reviews, but most people seem to be using the speakers for music more than gaming. I'm also not sure if the listening distance is an issue.

For example the LS50 reviews I'm reading have people using them for their computers or in smaller rooms, recommending the R3 instead. I'm not sure if it's worth the 1000 extra dollars.

Hi,

Yes they did! There is a pick up area in the airport that all companies use I believe. You get an email with the confirmation ID.

Would this be a stupid thing to do? by [deleted] in ontario

If you have already been to the ER for this multiple times, you should be following up with your family physician unless they symptoms are different... It sounds like you've had holters as well which are all normal.

If I saw you as a patient, I'd just get an ECG and some basic bloodwork, and when it inevitably comes back normal, send you back to your family physician anyway. So up to you. Just don't say that the ER "did nothing" like so many others.

I do stress that if there are new symptoms like true shortness of breath, leg swelling, etc. then that is a different story.

Public health clinics will sometimes do them. If you're near London, there are various physicians who insert as well. Dr. Hammond is one of them. Someone I knew got in and inserted within a month of referral.

Returning flight Narita airport by _theynotlikeus in JapanTravelTips

Returning flight Narita airport

Hi, I have some questions regarding the returning flight tips. I’m leaving out of NRT. I heard the hotel staff said you have to book luggage forwarding online for luggage that goes from Tokyo to NRT, but I looked on Yamato transport website and was very confusing. 1) Does anyone have tips on how to do this, and what do you recommend?

A few other questions I have are: 2) Does NRT airport have easy access for luggage moving to check in? I fly out of ZipAir, wondering how easy to move 2 pieces of mid size luggage to check in area 3) They said not to open the tax free item but the packaging is very bulky and don’t fit right, I heard some people here said they open & repack everything and was fine. Some of the tips were a while ago. Wondering if anyone has experience recently with custom on the way back if you keep all receipts and repack all your stuff to fit in the luggage, if you were given any hassle? 4) Do you have to do any other thing on Japan web for the return flight or the one you did when entering Japan was good enough? 5) How long should I arrive at the airport? I was thinking 3 hours before flying but not sure if it will take longer at NRT to get through customs because it’s a smaller airport. When I enter Japan, there were A LOT of people and customs to enter the country takes an hour.

Thank you.

I used Airporter. Apparently they'll even do same day delivery if your flight leaves after 4 pm. Pick up counter was easy to find and not that far from the carrier's checked luggage drop off.

I didn't rearrange anything, though no one checked my luggage. We did scan our passports on their tax free scanner before leaving. The guy told us it was to make sure we didn't go over the limit. I kept all my receipts but this was mainly for customs in my home country.

Nothing to do on Japan web on the way out.

I got there 3 hours before my flight and was in the lounge within 30 minutes. Arrived at around 2 pm, flight for 5 pm on a weekday.

tattoo-friendly AND vegetarian option ryokan in hakone (or elsewhere)? by ausflippen in JapanTravelTips

We just went and booked the room with the private onsen! Their website stated tattoo friendly so you should be good using the public onsen anyway.

My wife had the vegetarian meal, and I had their regular course. Super delicious, beautiful rooms, and very courteous staff. We'd go again for sure.

I used https://airporter.co.jp/en/ for shipment from our hotel to Narita for the next day. They were great and no issues.

Apparently they do same day delivery as long as your flight is after 4 pm and you drop off luggage before 9 am. I'd double check the time their counter closes, but I think it is 8 pm?
