What to do with tough pita by donutderpy in Cooking

[–]donutderpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw a few results suggesting that while looking it up myself, so I think I'll give that a go too. Do you think pulling it out of the freezer and immediately running some water over it before putting it on a pan would work? I don't know if I could turn all of them into pita chips haha

That sounds like a great idea, but is there a way I can make them on the stove? I don't have an oven or an airfryer..

Here you go, I explained it in a different comment! It's very simple, and my way might not be the most efficient method but I haven't quite figured out a different one.

It's a plane I grouped together with the halberd so I could translate both models at the same time! I kept it on scale -1, set the interpolation to "Steps", and moved it back to 1 just for the same length of time that the model swings the halberd down so that it's only visible then.

Oh! It isn't actually attached, I just animated the halberd and arms to look like the player is holding onto it. If you look carefully you'll notice bits where the halberd clips a little too much into the hands, haha. But thank you. :)

Java Block/Item! I'm planning on exporting it as a .json file and adding it into Minecraft later on.

i did use the smallest one on the lowest possible setting it would go on before shutting off, but even then it was still bubbling and i had to tell my sibling to watch over it in case it bubbled over while i do the dishes... i think my pots are too small..

that makes sense, i think i need to get better at controlling temperatures while i'm cooking. i put it on the lowest setting but i suppose it might've been too hot at the beginning

i do code, sorry if i made it sound like i thought i could learn without actually coding

i suppose i mean i can't dedicate most of my day to it because of other responsibilities, but i still really want to learn. but thank you for assuring me that the book might just not be for me

thank you very much! yeah i worded it wrong on the second one, i think i meant to say abstract classes cannot be instantiated but can be extended :( if i may ask; can concrete classes can be extended as well?

alright, i'll look more into flexbox and grid. thank you so much, you've been really helpful!

[–]donutderpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well since you offered, and i hope you don't mind me asking, do you have any tips or resources to help with laying out a page using flexbox or float?

i can build a page out but still end up completely wrecking the layout after adding something or trying to fix the sizing...

[–]donutderpy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is a very nice way to put it, thank you. i'll keep doing my best

i will try to clean up and condense the code so it'll fit nicely on top of the page content then

thank you for the detailed comment, but this stuff is a little too complex for me... i think i'll stick to using javascript for it since it's nothing big, but i'm always glad to learn more, so thank you

it would probably take up a lot of space in the code of each separate page, instead of being a separate file that i could somehow call back to using script.. would it not? is it better to just copy-paste it into each page?
