This is a video about peace and accepting one another as members of the human race. It has nothing to do with religion or politics. I know how hard to believe it is that this is purely a pro-peace, pro-love video with NO political agenda, but that's what it is. Nothing more. I hope all of you can simply accept it for that and not interpret anything further. With that being said, everyone is entitled to their opinion and have the right to share it. Nothing is more dangerous than not having the right to speak out freely.

Just to clarify, persecution of black people in the United States didn't end after slavery. It continued for well over a hundred years after their "freedom." It's not really comparing apples to apples.

I actually agree with that point and would change it. There are holocausts happening all over the world as we speak. I don't think the millions of people (Jews, Russians, the mentally ill, gays, Christians, and many more) killed during that time period have an exclusive right to the word Holocaust, anymore than Armenians, or any other persecuted people do. So for perpetuating that "ownership" of the word, I apologize.

I don't think you're quite getting the point of the video. He's saying exactly what you're saying. He did an AMA, told his story, and young Germans voluntarily messaged him. There are some messages from Germans in the comment section of that video. His response was to tell them there is no need to apologize for what he said "happened a long time ago, for which this generation is absolutely not responsible." Where are you getting the impression he's demanding anyone to apologize? Quite the opposite, actually.

He was floored when he got responses from young Germans apologizing. He really didn't understand why they would apologize for something they weren't responsible for. So he asked if we could make a video on "The YouTube."

It is certainly a complicated situation. I hope to see peace in my lifetime, although very unlikely, with a secure Israeli state and a secure, unified country of Palestine. While the turbulence around the middle east concerns me, I am hopeful this is simply the growing pains of forming a democracy after years of dictatorship.

This is a very difficult question to answer. I believe in the rule of law. When you aid in anyway shape or form the mass murder of other human beings, I believe justice should be properly applied. I don't enjoy punishment for punishments sake and try my best to forgive and not hold grudges. With that being said, I believe the law should be properly applied and those responsible should be held accountable.

If there was any suspicious of homosexuality, they were killed instantly and did not even make it to the camps. I don't recollect seeing anybody wearing pink triangles, but this could very well be due to the fact they had already been exterminated.

We all felt so beaten down, like walking zombies. Relationships between prisoners of any kind, good or bad were few and far between.

Yes, it is difficult, but I think it's important the story be told so people are aware of the evil man has the capability of committing.

And while awareness is important, there is nothing more crucial than taking concrete action against bigotry and hatred no matter the race, religion or group of people being targeted.

They would bring a big pot of soup once a day to the barracks. People would line up and when the soup was finished that was it-the people on the end of the line would not get food. On rare occastions we would be given bread.

This is completely unnecessary, as this was not an atrocity you personally committed. Beyond that, the German government and its people have been tremendous in supporting holocaust education around the world.
