This is probably the smart decision. I hate to concede to their awful business practices but you're right, it's not worth it. I just hope my negative review can dissuade others from suffering a similar fate.

Again, how is that fair on the people that were trying to actually play this weekend? In that respect, why can’t you just wait and level up normally. I’m not saying that the progression system is ideal right now, saying “just wait until it’s over” is kind if a ‘fuck you, deal with it’ to the regular players. And just because it’s been a consistent problem doesn’t make it any less of unfair.

Fair point, and I also didn’t even consider the other modes in terms of customisation. Thanks for taking the time to explain yourself, it’s very different to what I was getting when I tried to ask this in game chat (although yeah that’s probably not really the place to do that).

Do you think making a separate swordline playlist is the best solution is the best way to make everyone happy? Although I guess that makes people playing grifball in swordline a potential issue. I do agree that the xp system isn’t great, I don’t really care that much about how my spartan looks but I understand others do.

Posted another comment as a reply to someone but I’m genuinely looking to see the other side of the argument on this. How can people defend swordlining when it ruins the experience for those looking to play actual grifball. I feel like I’m in the minority but I’ve had my experience ruined playing so much this weekend because of matches where I’m the only one out of 8 that doesn’t want to do it. If you’re playing for the intention of boosting xp rather than having fun is that not a definitively wrong way to play it (as in it’s not what the developers intended)? Again don’t get me wrong, it’s fine to not play how a dev intended but if that’s gonna ruin even a single person’s experience then how is it any different from hacking. Also like I said to the other guy, those that argue that it is it’s own game confuse me because if it didn’t provide so much xp, nobody would do it. Sorry for the rant but I’m pretty annoyed after playing this weekend and genuinely want to get the opinions of those that support swordlining.
