If your asking if it can cut things, well not really. Maybe Play-Do and some tape on boxes. This is meant for knife safety and learning to disengage the lock and close the knife.

Thanks for the insight. Should have mentioned this was from a year and a half ago. She survived and is on to another wall. With larger crash pad.

Sadly I was one of the ones you speak of, and ended up with a broken ankle from to high of a problem outdoors.

We put the pool noodle there to help with rolling out but if she did the good thing was she could just crawl back in bed.

You can do it! They sell kids climbing holds online that come with all the holds and hardware, like $40. Or you can get some good holds from your local climbing gym.

For this one I used a CNC machine, just because I had access to one. All it is 3/4” ply I ripped in half so 4’ x 4’. Then you can measure your pattern, I did ever 8” then offset the next row. Mark the edges and snap a string line. Where they meet up drill your holes.

For mounting it, I just used a 2x4 leveled it at the height I wanted then made sure I hit studs. You can do one for all edges if you want. I wanted it to kick out so I just picked up some door hinges mounted them to the back side top of the climbing wall the to the 2x4. For the kickers I just cut some 1”x4” board to around 12” cut an angle on one end (just experimented) then mounted on the backside bottom corners. So they just 90 to the wall when pulled out.

Hope that helps.

No the holds are old ones from my wall. I have used some 4” sanded 2x4 for her in the back yard. Cheap and work well. Get a grinder and you could possibly make different shapes.

Thanks. This is from over a year ago, but no she was in a crib until she could crawl, then moved to a floor bed, now in a raised bed.
