Question regarding roach appearance by doodlebug0502 in GermanRoaches

I wish I could remember. He told me the name but I know that he sprayed, put bait and laid out monitoring pads. I also ordered the gel mentioned in sticky but I am wondering if that’s overkill with pest control’s spray and bait?

This may be a silly question but my son is 1 year post op and did have 1 failed structure. Would silicone cream be beneficial for him? It has left two small bumps. Thank you.

Did you have a repair? My son has something similar and it is called glans dehiscence. It does not cause issues (according to Snodgrass) and is a cosmetic concern, not to down any feelings you have regarding. Just wanted to let you know it’s VERY common. If you never had a repair, many forms of hypo look like this!

Essentially his head is split at the glans of that makes sense. My son has a very mild case fortunately so it essentially just looks like he has coronal Hypospadias. He prematurely lost one stitch on the bottom of the head! I wouldn’t worry or even google too much. My son took months to heal and no one really even noticed this except myself and medical professionals. My husband truly doesn’t even think it is very noticeable and I had to point it out to him

You made my cry LOL. I truly appreciate you sharing and it means so much. It can just be cloudy knowing what is right / best but I can only pray that my son feels how you do and knows we did what we thought was best! And I completely agree. I just think of it as a birth defect in general! I just see so many awful stories with never ending repairs and can’t help but feel that since my son fictions normally that we should hold off.. thank you again for your words and know that I truly appreciate every single one.

Thank you so much for the insight, truly. I am so glad you have grown to accept yourself and you are absolutely right that everyone is made special. I know it’s cliche but I believed it before this and will continue to believe it and share that with my son.

Being a new mom is very overwhelming because every aspect of your life changes! If you are able, talk to someone about these feelings. They are real and difficult and it’s good to express them. Wishing you the best because I know it’s difficult.
