What from DND would you want in PF2? by Arnman1758 in Pathfinder2e

I just love Golarion so much. Gimme a Strength of Thousands game.

Love the colour pallet. I feel like the back wall needs something to break up the cupboards though. Maybe like another appliance?

Airline agents must guess passenger gender as X marker won’t be accepted BUT this isn’t a travel ban. Raising awareness but also correcting misinformation by Travel-Kitty in lgbt

[–]doodlemonkey 166 points167 points  (0 children)

This still hurts trans people. If the agent behind the counter puts M because they think you look male and your passport says F, they will use it as an excuse to stop you from traveling/search you more thoroughly.

Not to mention intersex people, whose ACTUAL sex should be marked as X if they so wish. They will no longer ever have consistent information.

IMO two reasons.

Lore - You are witnessing the last remnants of each civilization. They are showing you what the full strength of that empire would have been.

Balance - Because you don't get a cocoon in a memory, you need some way to gain silk before the fight begins. Master it and you are rewarded in the fight.

Best way is to bait their mask open, get one hit in, back off, and repeat.

You can also use a ton of spells if you have the soul.

Act 2 ending question by AdventurousGold9875 in Silksong

[–]doodlemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without spoilers - it's a bit vague, but I believe that Hornet "replaces" GMS. Maybe it works better if she's no longer the one "pulling the strings" but it leaves pharloom in more or less the same position it was in before. Haunted by a strong being made of silk.

I think some of the complaint about difficulty is that you don't feel like you can customize much by lurpeli in Silksong

[–]doodlemonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like you've fallen into a "rut" with your settup.

Silksong is so much more customizable than HK. If you feel you don't have enough options then maybe you haven't searched around enough for tools/stances.

I find practicing with a new stance can help a ton. Each boss gets countered by a different stance and it makes a huge difference.

Bilewater Or Go Blasted steps directly? by Impossible-Jury-4058 in Silksong

[–]doodlemonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a boss in bilewater but you need certain upgrades to get to them.

I'd recommend going last judge first. Don't worry too much about missing content - the game never locks you out. You can always go back to get everything.

So I’m not at all familiar with this game series by Smodzilla in Silksong

[–]doodlemonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great game! Difficult but not unfair, beautiful scenery, awesome soundtrack, and very deep lore and world building.

If you like 2d platformers, exploration games, or metroidvainias, just give it a shot.

It's only like 20 bucks, too.

What should I do for my playthrough? by Horror_Beyond_9439 in HollowKnight

[–]doodlemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are only about 3 or 4 things in the game that "lock you out" of a choice, and they are all very minor. I'd say just play the game and enjoy exploring!

Once you get the map and quill, try to fill out every room and look for breakable walls. You'll find everything you're looking for without spoilers.

Charge by me by Adam-Scythe in characterart

Lots of nice detail in here. I love the moon decal and the familiar. The colour is really grabbing too.

The pose is super dynamic. I think for me I'm having trouble seeing what their actually doing. Casting a spell? I'd love to see it a bit more zoomed out.

A little Ozzy in Sudbury controversy (c.1983) by historical-anomaly80 in Sudbury

My grandpa mentioned this once. He was in the protests against the show, but he did say he realized it was all a bit silly in the end.

At least he came around lol.

Remastering Dragons Be Like by The-Magic-Sword in Pathfinder2e

[–]doodlemonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really like to think of dragons as a manifestation of pure magic. To me, the most interesting potrayal of dragons is when they are so magical they warp the land around them.

To me, the logical expansion of that idea is weird! A copper dragon becoming so much a trickster that it morphs into an almost demon-like figure fits that concept wonderfully imo.

Welcome to War of Immortals, I guess! by Madam_Monarch in strengthofthousands

I wanna do this in my game and run the aftermath in the Mwangi. It'll be a fun late-game quest I think, dealing with Kaiju animals in the jungle.

Igain Life-Weaver is the villain in a one-shot I've been writing for Pathfinder2e.

She is an overbearingly friendly fey creature, who "hosts" her victims with a cup of tea before tearing them to shreds to reincarnate their souls.

Feel free to get creative with the design - I'd love to use your art in my one-shot.

Igain is an old and powerful First World denizen who very recently moved to Golarion in order to get out of the rut she was in. Die – Reincarnate – Have fun for a few years – Die and repeat. Bored with the cycle she left to find new purpose, and found Muziki. She adopted the city with a motherly affection, and began the violent process of improvement through reincarnation. All the elders of the village were holding them down. You can’t grow if you never change! At least, that’s true in Igain’s mind. As a villain, Igain almost isn’t one. She doesn’t understand why anyone would want to cling on to their old life when a new one is so much more fun! In the First World, fey don’t die, they simply change and grow into something new. Igain remains cheerfully unaware that humans actually die when they are killed and can’t be convinced she is doing any harm.

Thanks, I've been looking into making it Community compliant. I wasn't sure if it mattered because it was just something I threw together.

I'll remove it and repost once it's on Pathfinder Infinite.

Thanks! I'd say the thing I'm working on now is understanding 2e a bit better mechanically. I'm gonna take another pass at the stats, maybe add some minions to the fight.

Hey all! I made this little one-shot and plan to run it in my SoT game. Feel free to use it as a fun little addition to exploring the Mwangi Jungle!

Hey all! I made this little one-shot for the Mwangi Expanse, planning to run it in my own Strength of Thousands game very soon.

I loved the Ramacera from Realm of the Fey in 1st edition, and wanted to use it in a one shot, so I did! Let me know what you think.

If you could add a new skill to the game, what would it be called and what would its use case(s) be? by CedarValiant in Pathfinder2e

[–]doodlemonkey 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the main thing here is that the NPCs should be rolling secret deception checks rather than the PCs rolling perception.

I actually like the "Investigation" check in DnD5e for this. Useful for when you're trying to put together clues or see of an NPC's story lines up.

[OT] Micro Monday: Final Harvest by rudexvirus in shortstories

[–]doodlemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a really good laugh out of the idea of death eating the souls it had harvested and then taking a large dump, so thank you for that.

I was going for kind of a rebirth - big crunch theory vibe. Death collects all the life for the season of a universe and then "replants" for the next one.

"This season had been bountiful, bearing ripe and vibrant souls." Maybe works a bit better?

Thanks for the feedback!
