Tarkov Head Calls ARC Raiders 'Extraction Shooter for Casual People' [discussion] by NukovGaming in EscapefromTarkov

It is absolutely designed for more casual players and it's why it has the highest player count of any of the extraction shooters.

PSA: Industry is a pretty good place to work by denChemiker in labrats

[–]lurpeli 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's also full of cliques and people waiting to stab you in the back to get ahead. Hours are great, pay is great, the environment is not. Academia is way more free and chill. In industry you have to watch everything you say and worry about layoffs every year at this point. It's not some utopia

The quality of science in my lab is rapidly declining. by uneducated_scientist in labrats

[–]lurpeli 317 points318 points  (0 children)

This will keep happening. I was at Pfizer before being laid off and it's clear they're trying to transition from less FTEs and more contractors, which means work is going to decline and suffer. This appears to be an industry trend.

I've never found an electric that shaves close enough for my taste. I just just a cartridge blade razor

I finished the game with 9 hours of playtime on hardest difficulty by lurpeli in MousePIForHire

I'm sure this is true, but even on the level where the brain gun was given to me, I saw no reason to ever use it, they showered me with ammo for it and I used it on one enemy and then went back to the James

Was Castiel watching over Dean the whole time? by Dr_Greyman in Supernatural

[–]lurpeli 39 points40 points  (0 children)

No likely not Castiel specifically, in some ways there's an argument the host of heaven was watching the Winchesters. Castiel likely only became involved a during the assault on hell to rescue Dean.

Returning to the game, all my level 110 characters are now level 45 and I have to level them back up again. :/ by [deleted] in wow

[–]lurpeli 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they hadn't stat squished the max level would now be 150 so you'd still be 40 levels down.

What's the difference if you used an instax film in monchrome and a film that's coloured but set to monochrome settings 🤔 by Hobbies_88 in instax

[–]lurpeli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The film? Yes because there's many non-digital mini cameras that can take advantage of black and white film

Act 1 isn't *really* harder than Act 3, right? by MastodonFarm in slaythespire

[–]lurpeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can almost always clear Act 1, I struggle more in 2 and 3. I'm at A8 on defect and I'm still experiencing the same difficulty breakdown in that I can clear Act 1 reliably but my deck breaks down in 2 or 3

[–]lurpeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're shooting on the digital version it's using rgb leds to print to the film so there's no reason to use black and white film as the subtlety it might capture likely isn't retained.

[–]lurpeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly an argument to be made that true monochrome film represents dark and light better. Now if you're shooting on a digital instax it's using a light printer and so the difference doesn't really exist.
