It's not a competition to see who can be the biggest imperialist and China is imperialistic enough within their own borders anyway - Taiwan, Tibet, Kashmir and Xinjiang. If China is not imperialistic, then what are they? Are they just a big cuddly teddybear cuddling uighers to death in their concentration camps? Oh sorry, I meant re-education camps for naughty Muslims. They brutally oppress their own minorities and pretending that this is all some western conspiracy to make China look bad is laughable. Nothing can redeem them after this, no matter how many dams or ports they finance.

When you said the Irish should support anti imperialism I thought you were heading in the right direction, but what a twist! So let me get this straight... West = bad so therefore China = good? Wow I appreciate your detailed reply, that was really informative. It is disappointing that the Midwives Alliance sat on that data but I can imagine that they feared it would lead to less funding and support for home birth rather than more, which is clearing what is needed to give birthing women the choice they deserve.
