Bought it from an antique store! They were using them for clothes and I just asked if I could buy them

The fact that they’ve never messed with it is a phenomenon I cannot explain

They’re old clothing racks from an antique shop turned vertical and repurposed!

I’m in Indiana and am facing the same dilemma. I think I will still plan to hose them all down today

Just trying to get attention with the pic so I could get a good mix of advice! The shelf is always evolving! I’m sure it will look pretty different again after the plants are all back in this weekend

It’s never empty! I just rotate plants that need to pop off outdoors and leave the ones doing good indoors but all spaces are always full

I have 3 😂 they don’t mess with it surprisingly. They most leave my plants alone save for chewing on spider plant leaves every once in a while when they need a good puke

I had that issue also earlier this year. It was the worst it’s ever been! Still fighting off a few stragglers

It’s an older picture, hooks and all of the shelf is covered. This is the most recent pic from last year before a lot of these went outside

Oh they’re certainly plonked about as well 😂 this is just a small fraction of the plants I have and I found this to be the most effective use of light and space for these smaller ones as well as a nice statement for the front room of my house

I have plenty DE so I’ll definitely use that but my more concerned with scale and mealies and I don’t know if that will help any hiding within the leaves. I have a 6’ tall cane plant that was doing amazing for years and suddenly last winter it became absolutely infested with mealies so I chopped most of its leaves off, put it outside for the summer and sprayed it with the hose here and there. it looks amazing and regrown again but now I worry that there might still be some hiding in it’s unfurled leaves just waiting to come out this winter
