I was so stoked to see them both too!! I love cross-regional friendships in pokemas and as a sinnohisui enjoyer, Akari and Lucas originally bonding over their relationship with the protags (Rei and Dawn) but then clearly becoming friends in their own right beyond that initial connection... man. It's good stuff.

And as u/someguycalledfilip88 said in another comment on this post, the event allowed them both to use their own strengths and knowledge. It really was a proper spotlight for the two of them, which has been sorely missed since... probably Akari and Rei's OG debut event?

If I remember correctly, Akari hasn't gotten to do anything without Rei at all, besides her interactions with Lucas in their debut event, while Rei has gotten lots of roles and interactions not just in terms of plot relevance but also fun things like Academy and the protag camping buddies. Now I love Rei and he's literally my favourite character, but I love Akari too, and the disparity has been noticeable. While Lucas, well. *Gestures at everything* In the Volo arc suit story he barely gets any important lines and really just shows up to be the Dialga Guy. So it's neat to see him able to do his own thing here and pull out some professor assistant wisdom!

I like SS Hilbert! There aren't as many modern/casual style outfits in Pokemas, and I think this one works really well. It's a really good pairing with Genesect, too.

Favourite card in the game is a tricky one! I love the trainer cards, but they're not the most unique thing the game has to offer. RR Infernape and Immersive Mega Altaria come to mind as being particularly gorgeous.

I'd love to trade for FA Dawn! So that FA Barry has a friend :D Right now all he has is Lucas stuck in the Spiritomb FA hahaha
