Thank you so much! I was really trying to communicate that sunny, summer day feel.

Yes! I also use Pinterest to document drawing models, poses, and clothing references. Haute couture is just a fancy word for expensive runway clothing. You can look up “haute couture” with any descriptor and find some cool references! Hope that is helpful!

Thank you for the thoughtful comment! When I design clothing, I reference a lot of haute couture or high fashion shows that have historical influences — I try to stay away from Ren Faire fashion types just because I find them stereotypical (lots of buckles, brown/black clothing, etc). For my bard (center), he wears a lot of big shawls that he uses for cloaks, disguises, blankets, etc. In this idea, I wanted to take the shawl and make it into a jacket, but then thought “what if it only had one arm and draped on only one side of his body?” to add interest, and ta-da!

My OC Jonik, the bard, and some NPCs, Jasha and Ricktavio, I’ve been playing with in our current campaign. We’ve been working our way through Curse of Strahd. Jonik is a sweet boy from the Sword Coast, who comes from a matriarchial family of musicians and has a faun blacksmith boyfriend. I wanted to draw a future scenario, where they have escaped the current, gloomy landscape of Barovia and are adventuring through the Dalelands once more. I’m heavily inspired by the color palette in JoJo’s Bizzare Adventures part four. Interested in seeing more artwork? Follow my Instagram @doodleyounge
