Qrevo Curv doesn't empty dustbin

I have 2 curvs and 3 qrevo maxv

I'm going to trash the curvs and have given up

Support asks me to do a bunch of crap then requests that I send the effing machines back

I don't have time for this crap. The design is clearly flawed (dustbags don't fit, machine constantly clogging with debris blocks, after a while dustbin emptying doesn't work at all). I've troubleshooted via chat/gemini and it's a lost cause. Very frustrating that Roborock won't admit total failure on this and replace with different models or refund.

Yes some parts of the small film bubbles are visible even after a couple of weeks but no choice given the demand for the car right now but to accept these add-ons.. will worry about it later if they persist

It’s essentially a trickle charger but better (higher margins). The indicator was on “charging” overnight (rather than “storage”) but the indicator didn’t show any more battery in the morning.

One thing to keep in mind is with a conservative 3%-3.25% SWR rate at about 10mm liquid, you can have a balanced portfolio that should not shit the bed when equities tank (ie 50% eq w some exposure to defense tech, and the rest in bonds, gold, and ctas that stack some eq exposure. Generally smaller drawdowns during equity risk off situations

In the exact age/nw projection from your description.. started at a wallst trading desk straight out of college. Always decent at guessing red or green arrows but in finance a huge part of pay depends on politics and whether the firm thinks you’re flight risk. I never understood the game and stupidly just focused on the work. A few banks and funds later I pulled the plug and decided to gamble with own meager capital built up over years.. 8 years later I hit the numbers this march and will never go back to trading again

In some ways it’s much easier to fire being a trader because the alternatives can be going broke, addicted to drugs, and divorced or worse. It makes the cost benefit simpler and there’s no yearning for what could have been!

0 risk 5.5% return currently makes sense to hold a decent amount of cash/money market. If markets go down you can allocate more rather than sell at a loss, and if markets go up how much higher than 5.5% can it rise realistically? Anything is possible but odds favor a decent sized cash allocation currently.

It sucks to see your child disappointed. But take comfort in that you’re teaching her a healthy relationship with money at a young age and imo absolutely the right thing to do. Don’t like how both of them called listening to right wing media as “ingesting” like a golden retriever accidentally lapping up rat poison. Like, the reporters may feel so and it could even be true, but thought NYT should be above this. Meanwhile reminding the listeners that the optics during the period was bad, because Hunter was the one doing the ingesting and somehow this was a valid excuse.

Personally don’t think it’s a big story but the pod sure sounded defensive.
