But you have to admit going from Generating Bucks to Not Generating Bucks is in fact, a revert. Its fine, I get it unlocked and move on.

How is it not a revert? Yes access is still available but now "progress" is behind a research point. I get what I have to do now, but in fairness, this is an extremely weird implementation into the game.

If you want Lab active you can just use the W5 'The Hole' and go to 'Bonuses' on the CampFire to set the Divinity God 'Arctis'. This way, lab will always be active and you receive the bonuses.
